Overview

A group of WGMI Operations team members was tasked with developing a plan that outlined an onboarding flow for new users entering the WGMI Discord. The group evaluated several notable DAO onboarding processes and analyzed viable tech solutions to enable a seamless onboarding flow. The below aims to outline our proposed onboarding plan, as outlined in a newly created "HOME" category on the WGMI Discord, including four new channels (#Welcome, #Claim-Roles, #Level-Up, and #Links).

1. The language prepared below, which we're recommending, be used as the copy included in its corresponding channel heading.
   1. updated to use active language — iSpeakNerd.eth
2. The requirements outlined in the #leveling-up section as the appropriate conditions for advancement in the WGMI DAO.

Added Considerations

• The proposal team hopes to implement this onboarding strategy ahead of ETH Denver.
• The proposal team intends to collect ongoing feedback from Existing and new users to continuously improve our onboarding process.
• If approved, our immediate next steps will be to:
  • Update copy in the new channels
  • Update collection forms at the Member and Contributor levels
  • Implementation of automation bots/triggers to ensure deployment of the onboard.
  • Scheduling a time for the Team to host an event in the Discord to explain the changes, answer questions, and kick-off the new onboard.
• Long-term, the copy, prepared below, will be transitioned to a bot post from YAGPDB.xyz, so any admin can edit it later as needed.
