Hey folks,

Appreciate everyone taking the time to read the first WGMI Weekly Memo (note, future versions will not be so wordy as all the key details live below in the body of the memo)!

The goal of the memo is to share DAO-Wide updates on progress against WGMIs roadmap so all contributors know exactly what is needed to move the DAO forward without centralized leadership, while aligning all contributors with the DAO revenue and operating model.

• This empowers contributors to know:
  • What to work on
  • What is priority and why
  • How to make decisions without centralized input

This is a small step towards better DAO-wide coordination and building in public, while knowing we still have plenty of work to do together. At minimum, this is a Birds Eye View into all happenings across the DAO, as we continue to refine and optimize our workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

In the meantime, the memo is intentionally structured this way with linked database views that will serve as the Source of Truth for all internal WGMI work. However, we still plan to use DeWork for Service Clients<>Contributors.

These memos will become more crisp as we continue working on the DAO so please bear with us as we recognize there are still many tasks and projects to add into our databases. However, I wanted to start sending these out because they are long overdue. “Done is better than perfect” as they say 😄.

Eventually, I will add a Table of Contents section at the top for easier navigation through the memo, but need to do some more work on the headings first to capture all sections correctly.

Currently, the memo is structured:

• Mission & Values: Keeps our Mission & Values top of mind for all contributors
• Where We’re Going: Keeps everyone in the DAO driving towards the same goal regardless of function and helps with prioritizing work tasks that ultimately support the top level DAO goals
  • DAO KPIs: DAO-Wide KPIs [focus on 1 or 2 at a time] that will ensure a healthy treasury and allow WGMI to scale further
  • DAO Problems To Solve: What are major headaches WGMI is facing?
  • DAO Roadmap: Active projects across the DAO that support WGMI’s Mission & Values and KPIs
• Week Update: Snapshot of activities from the previous week
  • Insights from DAO Council: Noteworthy insights/updates to share
  • Wins: DAO-Wide successes
  • Didn’t Go Well: What we need to focus attention on to avoid becoming actual problems
  • DAO Problems We Solved Last Week: Won’t always be populated, filtered for specific dates to show what was solved the previous week, if anything
  • Revenue: Actual Revenue vs Goal Revenue
  • Community: Actual Community vs Goal Community
  • WGMI Achievements/Working On: Completed and In Progress Tasks
  • Priorities We’re Focused On This Week: Plan for the new week

I will also put together some tutorials on how to update the databases as we continue to mature the current work streams. For now, I gave everyone comment access so nothing is accidentally deleted, but plan to open up asap after sharing out tutorials. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out directly with any questions, comments, or feedback on the memo or database format.
